Sandy Hook Promise Founder Wins Invest in Others Award
Bill Sherlach of Raymond James in Newton, Conn. was named the recipient of the 2025 Invest in Others Catalyst Award for his support of Sandy Hook Promise.
After losing his wife, Mary Sherlach, during the Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting in 2012, Bill co-founded Sandy Hook Promise, which seeks to educate and empower youth and adults to prevent violence in schools, homes and communities. Through SHP’s Know the Signs programs, over 35 million youth and adults have been trained to recognize warning signs of violence and self-harm.
