It’s Time to Vote! Best In Black Cville 2025 Voting Is NOW OPEN!

You showed up for nominations…and now it’s time to show OUT for the 2025 Best In Black Cville Awards. The voting window is officially open from June 16 – July 15, and we need every cousin, coworker, and group chat lit up with the link.
This isn’t a popularity contest. This is about celebrating the heartbeat of the culture…the folks who pour into our communities, move the needle, make space, and make magic.
So if your favorite hairstylist, poet, coach, chef, or community hero made the nominations list? It’s time to rally your folks, cast your votes, and let the whole city know who’s doing it for the culture.
Best In Black Cville is for, by and about US!
It’s how we honor the unsung heroes, the innovators, the culture keepers, and the everyday flyness that makes Charlottesville shine.
And this year? We’re pulling out all the stops, Friday, August 15, with a red carpet, unforgettable performances, and a room full of unstoppable Black brilliance.
This celebration wouldn’t be possible without the deep support and partnership from our powerhouse team:
Marquee sponsor United Way
Presented by Vinegar Hill Magazine and Soul Of Cville
Sponsored by Minority Business Alliance
VIP Reception by Black Professional Network
Produced by Chic & Classy Image Consulting
We’ve got a few slots left for performers and vendors who reflect the excellence of our community.
If you’re ready to bring your gift to the stage or the room, reach out to [email protected].
Voting closes July 15.
Winners will be revealed live at the Paramount…no early spoilers, no backroom wins. Just pure celebration and earned recognition.
And don’t forget, this is all part of the full Soul Of Cville Festival Week, happening August 10–17.
Follow Soul Of Cville and Vinegar Hill Magazine and IX Art Park.org/SoulofCville to stay in the loop…because if you miss this, the group chat will absolutely let you hear about it.
Let’s vote loud, vote proud, and give the Black brilliance of Charlottesville the flowers it deserves.
