MassMutual Affiliate Adds $325M Across Two Teams
Touchstone Wealth, a firm affiliated with MassMutual, has added five advisors and four support staff across two teams in the Southwest, managing a combined $325 million in client assets.
Touchstone has recruited two Russellville, Ark.-based advisors, Shane Knoernschild and David Thielke, from Thrivent Investment Management. They are joined by four staff members.
Three advisors in the Scottsdale, Ariz., area also join Touchstone. Trey Vineyard, Michael Friedman and Kristen O’Dell were previously with Vinity, an RIA founded by Vineyard in 2019. At Touchstone, Vineyard will serve as head of the team’s planning and wealth strategy. Friedman will lead the investment division, and O’Dell will work on integrating the financial planning, property casualty and trust services divisions.
“Advisors who choose to represent MassMutual enjoy a strong support system backed by MassMutual’s national resources,” Vaughn Bowman, head of wealth management with MassMutual, said in a statement. “They also have access to broad investment and protection offerings through an open architecture environment that delivers top-tier solutions along with a cutting-edge investment advisory platform built to meet modern client needs.”
Advisors come under MassMutual’s independent broker/dealer and RIA subsidiary MML Investors Services, which currently administers $274 billion in assets across 6,500 financial advisors.
